Cheryl Mckettrick: Assistant Coach
Cheryl is a lifetime runner. She hesitates to admit it, but she's been running for 5 decades. Growing up in Detroit, her running career started on her church's middle school boys track team, as there was no girls track team offered at that time. She also ran cross country in middle school, then competed as a middle distance runner and Varsity Athlete for 4 years in High School. A highlight during that stage of running was her team winning the State HS Track Championship during her junior year. Cheryl attended Michigan State University, receiving two degrees in Engineering. During college, she maintained her passion for running and leveraged runs as study breaks. Upon graduation, she moved to Cincinnati and worked 35 years for Procter & Gamble. Over the course of her professional career, Cheryl managed to compete in over 40 marathons (PR = 3:06) and a few ultra-marathons, including a 100 mile road race. She retired from P&G in 2021, and has been coaching girls Cross Country and Track at Mason Middle School for the past 2 years. Cheryl and her partner Marnie live in Mason. They have 6 children ranging in age from 23 to 15. |

Andy Palmer: Assistant Coach
Andy grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where he ran on the cross country team for four years, going to the State meet as a team in 1990. After taking many years off, he rediscovered running on a regular basis around 2012, when he started running 5k road races. He has been running 5K and 10K races ever since. He became involved with the cross country team as two of his exchange students from Germany (Viktoria and Maxi) joined the team, then his daughter Megan when she got to high school. 2017 is his first year of coaching, but he has had many years of working with young people through church and Boy Scouts. He is an Engineer at Procter and Gamble, and as part of his job is also on the Emergency Response Team as a medical First Responder. He has lived in Lebanon since 2001. Andy lives in Lebanon with his wife Dana and his children Megan, Joseph, Emma, Sarah, and Anne. |
